May Day Bank Holiday - SEPA Payment Notice
Notice: May Day Bank Holiday - Friday 1 May 2026
Please note that Friday, 1 May 2026 is May Day, a European bank holiday.
On this date:
- SEPA bank payments and SEPA Direct Debits will not be processed
- SEPA Instant Payments will continue as normal
What this means for members:
- Payments due to be processed on Friday, 1 May will not be credited to or debited from accounts on that day
- Members are advised to make payments early
- Payments processed in time on Thursday, 30 April will be received for value on Monday, 4 May
- Incoming payments to member accounts may be credited later than usual
Normal processing will resume after the bank holiday.
